Behind the Line - Episode 5 - Sammy Carlson at Grand Targhee TGR and Grand Targhee collaborated to build some crazy features with Targhee s amazing backdrops. This shoot was unique in that the features were built into the natural terrain of the mountain, not a terrain park. Sammy Carlson went into this backcountry booter with too much heat, over rotated, and hit the bottom of the landing. Just being in Alagna Italy is an amazing experience by itself. A humble mountain village in the heart of Italian Alps. The small village just oozes old ski mountain culture and is at the base of the great MontaRosa-The largest mountain in the Alps. The boys rolled in to some of the deepest conditions Alagna has seen in over 10 years. At one point it snowed over 3 feet in 24 hours. The terrain was unbelievable and the local hospitality was incredible. Deep in the wilderness of northern British Columbia lies the home base for Last Frontier Heli-Skiing. TGR Athletes Dana Flahr, Tanner Hall, Kye Petersen, and Seth Morrison teamed up with cinematographers Corey Gavitt and Todd Jones to lock down some A+ shots for the upcoming 2009 release, Re: Session. While hitting a natural wind lip feature, both Tanner and Dana took really hard falls and violently tomahawked down an open face. Tanner pulled himself together, jumped back into the heli and managed to land a couple incredible shots, despite the beating he took only moments before. Behind The Line - Episode 6 - North Cascade Pillow Madness Mazama, Washington is a sleepy 200 person town at the end of the road and home to one of the finest heli ops in the world. North Cascade Heli Skiing is an insane place, they fly every day, snow or shine, and receive copious amounts of snow every year. Seth Morrison, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, and Kye Petersen found tons of sweet terrain to ride and film in. The trees and pillows here are some of the best in the world and the boys took full advantage of the epic zones and got tons of pillow practice.
